Overview

The card carousel: An integral piece in the transition to a more product-focused homepage experience. Previously a mosaic of blog-style posts, the homepage was transitioning to an eComm-focused landing page with the intention of educating consumers and more effectively advancing them through the purchase funnel. Intelligent use of screen real estate and increased CTA density were major priorities. A simple yet versatile side-scrolling card carousel would deliver more impact with a smaller footprint.

My role: Lead designer responsible for the end-to-end design and development process, including visual and interaction designs. I conducted user research, produced wireframes, mockups, prototypes and design documents. I oversaw the full development lifecycle, created FRDs and user stories and contributed to the codebase.

The final product met business goals and served as a linchpin for the new product-focused direction of the homepage.
